TED MICHAEL grew up on Long Island and now lives in New York City. He is a graduate of Columbia University and The Juilliard School, and 2002 Presidential Scholar in the Arts. He is the author of the teen novels The Diamonds and Crash Test Love, which was a Seventeen.com Beach Read and a Books-A-Million Book Club Pick.
His non-fiction book, So You Wanna Be A Superstar?: The Ultimate Audition Guide, was inspired by his love of the performing arts and features an Introduction by Tony Award winner Lea Salonga. Along with Josh Pultz, he is editing a performing arts-themed anthology for teens, Starry Eyed, which is forthcoming in 2013.
